I have an extensive background in theatre, having been a part of drama groups and productions from an early age. I have a LAMDA acting certificate for grade 8 distinction, as well as an A Level in theatre studies; and from September 2011 I will be taking up my place at Birmingham School of Acting to train in Community and Applied Theatre.
I have been working in youth theatre for nearly two years now, as a drama workshop facilitator and assistant. I recently created and organised a large scale charity performance called Act For Poverty. This was performed by around 40 teenagers from the Warwickshire community, raising awareness of world poverty through devising and performing script, dance, song and circus routines. Through the event we raised £1,337.
Other past charity work includes a trip to Romania with a group of friends, where we worked with orphans and helped improve facilities for their care and education.
I am a grade 8 flautist and singer, and grade 5 pianist. I run music workshops for years 4, 5 and 6 at a local primary school, and have a long background of choral and orchestral performances.
Below is a selection of images from some past theatre productions.
